If you are looking for a chilli variety that you can keep indoors, the Apache chilli is just right for you. It needs comparatively little light and is quite undemanding. Nevertheless, it produces many pods that glow bright red when they are ripe. The Apache chilli is not only suitable for decoration, but also for cooking, pickling or making delicious salsas with its fruity-aromatic taste and medium heat. And since heat level 6 won't burn your tongue off right away, you can also try them raw.
Germination and cultivation
To get this variety to germinate, you should provide them with an environment with a temperature between 22 and 28 °C. A heated greenhouse is ideal for this. Whether you pre-germinate the seeds in two layers of kitchen roll or let them grow directly in soil is entirely up to you. When you put the seedlings into pots, you should use a well-fertilised and airy soil and make sure that the water does not accumulate.
