As an organic-mineral fertilizer, EMIKO's SubstrateCoal is particularly suitable as an additive in composting or the production of Bokashi.But SubstratKohle can also be used very well as a direct soil conditioner, and purchased plant substrates can also be significantly enhanced with the effective microorganisms it contains.

The plant carbon contained promotes the capacity of the soil to store water and nutrients. Overall, the structure of the soil is improved by the use of SubstrateCarbon and the biological activity is greatly increased.

Upgrading compost, building permanent humus

Even with composting or self-prepared Bokashi, the SubstrateCoal makes a very valuable contribution. Unpleasant odours are bound and the high nitrogen content in the compost/bokashi is balanced out by the available carbon.SubstrateCoal is also excellently suited for building up a durable and sustainable humus soil. SubstratKohle is furthermore rich in and zeolite and clay minerals and thus creates ideal soil conditions for the living microorganisms.

Instructions for use:
EMIKO SubstrateCoal is added to compost/ Bokashi or potting soil in a ratio of 1:10. 

For direct soil improvement, 100 g per square metre are sprinkled on and, at best, worked in. For overgrown areas, the SubstratKohle should be poured in.SubstratKohle is suitable for all pot and tub plants.Substrate Charcoal can be stored unopened for at least one year after the date of production. Once opened, it should be used up quickly.
