Storage solution for measuring electrodes on electronic pH meters.
Gardeners who measure the pH value of the irrigation water with an electronic measuring device surely know the problem all too well. The sensitive measuring electrodes on pH meters lose precision if they often become dried out.
To avoid this, it is recommended that you store the electrodes in a special storage solution between uses. In this way, you can ensure that the electrodes deliver precise measurements throughout their entire lifetime.
Tip: Proper cleaning and storage extends the lifetime of the measuring electrodes, sometimes significantly. For measuring devices that have a waterproof cap for the electrodes (e.g. ADWA AD11) can simply place a few drops of the storage solution in the cap. This is because the amount of storage solution used is irrelevant; it is only important that the electrode stays moist. Therefore, minimal use can achieve optimal results.
