Choosing the right size & target temperature

• Sizing: A practical rule of thumb is 1 W per liter of nutrient solution (e.g. 100 W ≈ 100 L). Larger tanks or cold rooms require more power.
• Target range: For many crops a nutrient solution temperature of around 18–22 °C is effective, ensuring good oxygen levels and nutrient uptake. Always check species-specific requirements.

Installation & operation – quick guide

• Submerge the heating rod fully, keeping some distance from tank walls and bottom; the 300 W model can also be fixed with suction cups.
• Set the thermostat to your target value and initially verify with a thermometer; monitor temperatures during the first few days.
• Ensure gentle circulation (e.g. from the system’s pump) for even distribution. Place external probes (600 W model) close to critical points.

Tip: If your nutrient tank is placed outside the grow tent or in an unheated room, a higher-wattage heater or the external-sensor model helps balance out temperature fluctuations reliably.
