Milwaukee Digital Refractometer MA871
- very easy to use
- For measuring sugar content in plants
- high accuracy (0.1 % Brix)
- quick results ( approx. 1.5 seconds)
With the MA871 digital refractometer from Milwaukee, you can quickly and reliably measure the sugar content of your plants. Many growers believe that sugar is only important for the taste of the finished products. In fact, sugar content is a very important factor for plant development. Complex sugar compounds are formed as a result of photosynthesis, which are important for the growth and health of your plants and for high-quality harvests during all phases of development. Not only young plants need a lot of sugar for leaf development - flowers in particular have a high demand for this energy supplier for growth and trichome formation.
How does the MA871 work?
To measure the sugar content of your grow's plants, all you have to do is squeeze some juice from the leaves and drip it onto the test field of the digital refractometer. In about 1.5 seconds, the device will give you the sugar content in % Brix (accurate to 0.1 % and 0.1 °C). A value between 12 and 15 % Brix is perfect and shows that your plants are healthy and well supplied. They are resistant to diseases and able to produce a lot of biomass. If the value is below 12 % Brix, you should find out what is wrong with your indoor grow. This can be a lack of light, the wrong room climate in the grow box or an insufficient supply of nutrients. In any case, you need to take action if you want to be rewarded for your efforts with rich and delicious yields at the end of the grow.
