The Philips "Master SON-T PIA" technology in the Green Power series. A 250 W NDL/HPS lamp specifically designed for plant cultivation.
Green Power lamps are ideal for assimilation lighting. This means that they promote CO2 uptake (=assimilation) for better photosynthesis, which leads to faster-growing, altogether more vital plants.
"SON-TIA lamps" are ideal for plant cultivation.
"SON-T PIA" (PIA = Philips Integrated Antenna) stands for the ignition technology used by Philips, which ensures increased reliability and a lower early failure rate. Although, like all NDLs, the light source is basically in the red-yellow spectrum, the models of the "Green Power" line have a slightly increased output in the blue spectrum - this is what makes these light sources ideal for plant cultivation, as the additional blue light facilitates photosynthesis for the plant through all phases of its life. For the gardener, this means growing healthier, larger plants with the same amount of energy (250 W).
With assimilation lighting, constant brightness is very important. The Green Power lamps have a high luminous flux stability during the useful life of the lamp.
Note: To operate this lamp, a ballast (VSG) with appropriate wattage (250 W), as well as an E40 socket, is required.
Tip: Never touch the glass of the lamp with bare hands! The body fat on the skin may impair the life and luminosity of the bulb.
