Germination and Growing:
The seeds of this plant need temperatures between 22 and 25° to germinate. Until germination, the seeds should always be kept slightly moist, regardless of whether you pre-germinate them or germinate the seeds directly in or on growing soil. It is generally helpful to use a heated mini-greenhouse to increase the germination rate and to provide the seedlings with a favourable climate for their first growth phase. After about 4 to 12 weeks you should be able to spot the first seedlings.

The dwarf coffee plant is an evergreen plant and can reach a height of around 1.5 metres in large pots. Its flowers are bright white and it produces red fruits that usually grow into two beans. The arabian coffee originates from Brazil and was first discovered there at the beginning of the twentieth century. You should keep it in a light location without direct sunlight, use loose, mineral-rich soil for the pot and avoid waterlogging. It survives the winter well indoors, with sparing watering and without fertilising.
