An outdoor bonsai for expressionists.
The Lebanon cedar (Cedrus libanii) is considered one of the nicer-shaped classics among the coniferous trees suitable for Bonsai. Its natural tendency to expand horizontally allows you to form beautiful Bonsai creations that look like they have been formed by the wind.
The Lebanon cedar is also often used for larger landscape gardening projects (e.g. around ponds or in ornamental gardens). Cedar wood is resistant to insect infestation and emits a lovely aroma, even when it is decades old.
Usage: Outdoor. However, you should avoid exposing the tree to frost in its early years, and if necessary store it indoors in a well-lit space during winter.
