The olive tree (Latin: Olea europea) is one of the most ancient cultivated plants in the world. The olive tree has been grown by humans for at least 6000 years, and most likely originated in the eastern Mediterranean region.
Even though the olive harvest at home might not be so abundant: As an original Bonsai, the olive tree can create a touch of the Mediterranean even in mild climates. When carefully pruned and bound, the olive tree quickly develops authentic Bonsai qualities and naturally tends to develop a short, thick trunk.
Usage: Indoor. Year-round in a non-heated conservatory. Outdoor cultivation only possible from May to September, must be stored in a non-heated indoor space during winter.
