Terra Aquatica pH + is used to increase the pH value of water. Terra Aquatica pH + is used to increase the pH value of "hard" water, because most crops require an optimal pH value for nutrient uptake. However, tap water in many countries is often inconsistent in this respect, so pH correction is essential. In most cases, the water is too "hard" (high pH value, a lot of limescale is formed), which requires manual reduction of the pH value (the water is "acidified").
However, it may be the other way around. Sometimes, the water in hydro systems can become to acidic (low pH value), and Terra Aquatica pH + helps to rectify this.
In addition to simple acids, this pH Up also contains a mixture of organic buffer substances, which means that the pH value is kept consistent in the long term, and the calcium content is reduced.
